Bag Space
Good bags pay for themselves and many can be re-sold when you outgrow them.
I love joining a group when others have run out of bag space. A high level grey weapon can sell for one or more gold and the grey armor pieces sell well too. Don’t leave these items on a corpse. If you pick up 5 extra items per run, that adds up to a big chunk of change.
Don’t be cheap with bags. You can usually buy 14 slot Runecloth Bags for around 2-3g and 16 slot Mooncloth bags for 9-12g. The beauty of these is that they don’t bind when equipped. If you upgrade down the road, you can usually sell them for close to what you paid for them. The same holds true for many quivers and ammo pouches.
The old saying "time is money" holds true in World of Warcraft. Let’s say you normally carry around 40 items (water, food, hearth stone, potions) in your bags and whenever you run out of room you take 10 minutes to go into town and sell or mail junk to a bank alt.
| 10 Slot | 12 Slot | 14 Slot | 16 Slot | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Total Slots | 10 x 4 +16 = 56 | 12 x 4 +16 = 64 | 14 x 4 +16 = 72 | 16 x 4 +16 = 80 |
| Reserved Slots | 40 | 40 | 40 | 40 |
| Open Slots | 16 | 24 | 32 | 40 |
By upgrading 10 slot bags to 16 slot, you increase your excess carrying capacity by 150%! That means that if you used to have to run into town every hour to sell, you now only have to make the trip once every 2.5 hours. This means you save time and get to grind gold and have fun.
